1987 marked a career turning point for Larry Reid.
Prior to that time, he worked in materials management and logistics
for companies in both Massachusetts and Georgia such as Nordson
Corporation, Lithonia Lighting and McCracken Industries.
In 1987, Larry became the Georgia licensee for World
Wide Health Services. With more than 25 nurses and physicians
on-call, the company provided testing and laboratory services for
every major life and health insurance provider operating in Georgia.
Larry’s vision regarding occupational health
services enabled him to develop, market and implement programs
involving drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment physicals and
employee health education long before it became standard in modern
business practices. Due to Larry’s administration and marketing
efforts, the company was able to sustain an average 27% growth in
revenues over the years he owned the license.
After selling the business, Larry and a partner
formed In Time Services, a company that provided branding and
marketing solutions. The company’s status as a minority-certified
firm gave it access to many of the well-known companies with
headquarters and regional offices in Atlanta. The partners’ unique
backgrounds enabled them to provide solutions for industrial,
service providers and urban-oriented accounts The partnership
dissolved in 2005, and Larry formed Winding Ridge Associates,
keeping most of his existing accounts and adding new ones. In 2006,
Larry began working with The Renaissance Communications Group on
selected projects.
Larry earned a B.S. in Economics from the University
of Illinois at Chicago, and his M.B.A from Boston College. He and
his wife Gail live in Roswell, GA and have two sons.
