Alpharetta, GA – March 19, 2004 – North Atlanta National Bank (NANB) Chairman and CEO, Jimmy Walker, announced today that the Bank will be expanding its services in the growing Forsyth County market by opening a new Loan Production Office in Cumming, Georgia. Cumming resident, Rex A. Tallant has been hired to head the new office. Tallant recently joined North Atlanta National Bank as a Sr. Vice President for Commercial Lending. He has worked in the banking industry since 1987 for Bank South, First Colony Bank, and Mainstreet Bank.

In making today’s announcement, Walker said he believes the timing is right to launch this important initiative for the Bank. "From inception, North Atlanta National Bank has been alert for opportunities to expand our service in the GA 400 corridor, one of the fastest growing markets in the country. Our main criterion for opening new offices is the availability of professional bankers with roots in the areas into which we expand. With Rex’s arrival, North Atlanta National Bank will be represented in the Forsyth market by an extraordinarily well known and respected banker."

Rex A. Tallant resides in Cumming and is a native of Forsyth County. He attended Forsyth County High School and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1976. Upon graduation, Tallant worked in the corporate and public accounting sector for small businesses in Atlanta and Cumming for nine years before entering the banking industry in 1987. Tallant is active in the Forsyth Community. He recently completed a three-year term on the Forsyth Chamber of Commerce board of directors and is a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where he serves as chairman of the Church’s administrative board. Tallant is also an active member of the South Forsyth Rotary Club.
