ALPHARETTA, GA., Oct. 26, 1999 --- North Atlanta National Bank officially opened the doors to its new headquarters and branch office on Friday, October 22^nd. Surrounded by members of the Bank’s board of directors, shareholders, dignitaries and guests from the community, Jimmy Walker, President of North Atlanta National Bank presided over the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new building. In his remarks, Walker shared the difference between the bank as a building and the bank as an institution. "As we admire this building, we know that it will still be here 20, 30, 50 years from now. Will it outlast the idea of North Atlanta National Bank? This is the true challenge. We often refer to some component of our business as our main asset, perhaps a building, employees, customers, etc. The banker in me likes to break it down differently. I think of shareholders as our primary obligation, employees as the primary resource, and customers as our primary asset. This building is but one of the tools that goes into making a bank. From henceforth it will not be this building that defines us but it will be what we do that defines us."

The new 8,000 square foot headquarters was designed by the Atlanta design firm of Warner, Summers, Ditzel, Benefield, Ward & Associates. Choate Construction served as the general contractors. The brick building is located in on the corner of Mansell Road and the Old Alabama Road Connector in the Mansell Ridge Office Park in Alpharetta.

According to Walker, "We outgrew the space where we opened last November. Our new facility is spacious and offers a great work environment. It will provide our clients with excellent accessibility and convenience through its large amount of parking, the drive-in facilities and an ATM. As proud as we are of our new building, we know that it is our people who make a real difference to our customers and I believe we have the best."

Walker also announced that the bank was accepting applications for employment to fill several new positions that were recently added. Walker stated that "the move to our new building is a great opportunity for someone looking to get in on the ground floor of a growing enterprise."
