Hospitality Industry Rollout
LOS ANGELES, CA., March 19,
2003, (PR Newswire) --- As the race to provide wireless broadband access
picks up speed across the nation, there’s now an even
faster version of this hottest consumer and business
communication capability. Advanced high-speed wireless
broadband services from Inviz Network, Inc. (www.inviz.net)
allows users to enjoy digital quality video and other
interactive data applications—first at executive level
hotels in select cities.
It was disclosed today that breakthrough
Inviz Network service will be available at The Renaissance
Los Angeles Hotel-Airport, a primary destination for
business travelers, meetings and conferences.
In a joint announcement, Dan Lang,
President, Inviz Network, Inc. and Gregory Lehman, General
Manager, Renaissance Los Angeles-Airport, said next
generation wireless Internet access would be available
within 60 days. The 496-room Renaissance Hotel property
serves Los Angeles International Airport travelers and
major corporations nearby.
Inviz said it plans a major announcement
shortly to detail other significant hotel properties which
are in the process of securing access to its advanced high
speed wireless offering.
Inviz was selected to provide premium
level Wi-Fi service or what is known as ‘advanced
wireless broadband’ for this Renaissance Hotel property,
Mr. Lehman said, because "its offerings far surpass
what is available to the hospitality industry and exceed
the service demands of our corporate clients. For
competitive reasons it is vital that we have the superior
Inviz offering."
"Our business clients demand the
highest levels of Internet connectivity for their business
activities, and that includes conference and meetings
support," Mr. Lehman said. "To remain a leader
in our market, we must have access to superior wireless
Internet services," he added. "Inviz Network
gives us the tier of services needed to ensure even
greater guest satisfaction and so that we may maximize the
attractiveness of our property to our core
customers."
For Inviz Network, the announcement
marks a continuation of its national hospitality industry
deployment, said Dan Lang, president, Inviz Network.
"This is the fourth major hotel property to upgrade
guest communication services by utilizing Inviz Network
technology," Mr. Lang said. Other Inviz Network
advanced wireless broadband systems are operating at The
Radisson-Huntley Hotel, Hotel Oceana and Hotel Carmel,
which are located in Santa Monica, California.
Using wireless technologies and
proprietary Inviz Network capabilities, the company gives
hospitality property interests and their customers access
to the Internet at speeds far greater than currently
possible using any other telephone or cable television
network access provider, Mr. Lang said.
Inviz Network high speed wireless
broadband service permits download speeds of up to 20
times faster and upload speeds of approximately 100 times
faster than phone company DSL or cable, which virtually
eliminates delays in accessing files or streaming media
and in sending or receiving email, according to the Los
Angeles-based company.
"We are giving hospitality managers
a powerful new guest service and meetings support amenity
that totally outperforms all similar services, while at
the same time opening a reliable and important new revenue
stream for their properties," Mr. Lang added.
"Leading hospitality people are attracted to our
service because it can provide an immediate upgrade for
conference and meeting facilities. Inviz Network
technology increases the value and utility of conference
facilities and expands the marketing potential of
underutilized hospitality property inventory."
The company said its wireless service is
very different from competitive offerings because it
utilizes ultra high capacity direct Internet connections
to the worldwide web. It does not link to or use any
portion of a hospitality property’s existing
telecommunications gateways, which is the weakness of
competitive providers.
In addition, because most Inviz Network,
Inc. services do not require any capital outlay by hotel
operators, it has captured the attention of hospitality
interests across the nation. The company said development
activities for its services are underway at hotel
properties operating under the Radisson, Renaissance,
Marriott, Sheraton, Hilton, Crowne Plaza, Quality Inn,
Comfort Inn and other banners and select premium service
level custom hotels.
